Guest Blog Post // Everyday Inspirations

I met Ashley back in Salt Lake City when I shot an engagement session for her friend. After seeing the photos on Facebook, she sent me the sweetest email, telling me how refreshing it was to see someone with my style and vision in Utah (a state notorious for its LACK of fresh, modern, stylish wedding photography). Next thing you know, we had struck up an online friendship and began following each other on Twitter. Then one day we decided to make it official and meet up for lunch in person. It felt right away like we were just old friends hanging out. This girl is so incredibly sweet and interesting and beautiful. I was so sad when our “in person” friendship was cut short by our move to Alabama.

However, we’ve definitely stayed in touch via this lovely thing called the internet. I was so surprised (and flattered!) when Ashley emailed me a couple of weeks ago asking me to write a guest post for the blog she writes with her friend Angie called Everyday Inspirations in honor of their first anniversary. My assignment? To make a list of 10 things that are inspiring me right now. I have to say, with this being my first guest blog post, I was super nervous. I mean, on my own blog, I can pretty much say whatever I want, and I feel comfortable with my voice, especially now that I’ve gotten to know you guys. But another person’s blog might mean a completely different audience, and I wanted to make sure that what I wrote was a good reflection of the ED girls and the brand they’ve built.
