Heather and Mark

And now I present the last of my Tennessee sessions! And what a note to end it on. You all remember Heather? You know, fabulous food blogger and cookie-making extraordinaire? Well, she’s back on the blog, and this time with her husband Mark. Heather asked if I’d be interested in doing a couples session for them, because despite being married for years, they’ve never had professional portraits done…. even on their wedding…. because, get this, their photographer DID NOT SHOW UP. As a wedding photographer, I really can’t fathom this at all. So I said, hey, there’s no time like the present, let’s do this thing! Heather joked that she guesses now she’s actually in it for the long haul with Mark, since they have these photographs and all. :)

What I love about Heather and Mark is that their love is so quiet and simple and sweet. Heather is quite honestly one of the most genuinely kind people I’ve ever been around, and it shows in the way she speaks and looks and moves. And Mark is definitely the strong and silent type, which I think is complemented so perfectly by all of Heather’s true Southern charm. And then, to balance out their peaceful easygoingness? Enter Biscuit, their pug! He’s the crazy ball of energy that makes them laugh and completes their little family. So of course he was invited along for the ride.

Enjoy the photographs, and don’t forget to watch the slideshow at the end!

We started out at the park beside the Farragut public library. How did I know I was in Farragut? Because as I was driving closer, I noticed in my rearview mirror a kid who literally didn’t look a day over 12 driving a Mercedes Benz. But this park is a little piece of paradise in the middle of of Suburban America, and I love it.

Excuse me, let’s take a moment to reflect on how GORGEOUS Heather looks! This shade of blue was so perfect on her, and I just adore the European-ness of her pale skin and blonder hair and big blue eyes. Stunning, Heather!

Definitely a favorite.

I wanted to shoot some at their house, too, because the first time I went over there, I was so impressed with Heather’s mad decorating skillz. It’s just the right mix of traditional and modern and homey. I mean, animal heads are a lot of times seen as tacky (and in Tennessee, it happens more often than not), but the fact that Heather made it just look so ridiculously classy amazes me. And the red tulips? Perfect.

Okay, I think THIS is my fave. I just kind of love everything about it.

You GOTTA love Biscuit. He is all over the place, ALL THE TIME! I loooove the one in the bottom right corner… it fills my heart with glee.

And now, you must WATCH THE SLIDESHOW! It is super cute. I promise. And the song? Amos Lee doing “Sweet Pea.” Now what could be better than that? :)

And thank you Heather and Mark for allowing me to document a little slice of your life. I loved it.

KanzlerFoto - Nice work Trinker! Looks like Tennessee was a GREAT trip for you!

Heather - Oh Morgan. You humble me with your compliments. I just showed the pics to Mark and he absolutely LOVES THEM ALL. We are both so happy with them!

carly - LOOOOVE these, Mo! So in love with the ones with the yellow flowers! I’m working on something kinda similar right now and I’m just obsessed with that yellow color! The framing the flowers in the trees creates is absolutely breathtaking. Another awesome job! You’re getting better and better all the time! :)

megan - Omg, I love their little dog, he’s hysterical! AND of course the pictures are fabulous! Yay!

Kimber - Beautiful. Morgan, you do such a great job, and the kid with the Mercedes line almost made me pee my pants. :-)
