Bryan’s Headshots | Salt Lake City Portrait Photography

The thing about Starbucks is that it tends to attract some super-talented baristas. Who can do more than make a delish caramel macchiato, that is. :) I think it has something to do with the whole “starving artist” thing. You know, you can pursue your art and your passion, but sometimes you just gotta pay the rent and get decent affordable health insurance. I just consider it Howard Schultz’s contribution to the arts. In a very roundabout sort of way.

ANYWAY, one of my very talented Starbucks friends is Bryan Almond. Not only has he lived and traveled all over the world (including Calcutta! crazy!), but he’s an opera singer. Okay, how many opera singers do YOU know? I mean, really. A couple of weeks ago Jamie and I went to see him perform in Carmen, and we were pretty blown away. So in his free time, he teaches private voice lessons, and he’s looking to start a PhD program (except I don’t think that’s what it’s called for this) at the U in the fall to add to his already lengthy performance resume. Right now he’s working on a website to promote himself a little more, so he needed some fresh head shots. And this is where I come in! Sooo…. hope you enjoy!

February 4, 2010 - 11:13 pm carly - That's funny! I saw these on your Facebook fanpage and I immediately picked out the same one you did as your favorite! Sharing brainwaves! Btw, is it just me, or is doing portraits of men by themselves a completely different animal than when taking pictures of women? Anyway, great work, Mo! As yoojsh!
