If You Wanna Play in Texas…

Jamie and I made it home safe and sound from our holiday in Texas last week. If I weren’t exhausted from opening at Starbucks 3 days in a row and going on a it’s-New-Year’s-which-means-I-must-clean-out-all-my-closets-and-hey-while-I’m-at-it-why-not-move-all-the-furniture-and-make-bedroom-curtains? rampage all weekend AND fighting off a mean cold, I would go into more detail about what a fantastic and much-needed vacation it was. Maybe I will do that later. But for now, I wanted to at least share this little video I made, because my blog is looking kind of sad these days. I shot all the footage with my new (and discounted, thanks to Erin and her job at Anthropologie!) little video camera which mimics the look of old super 8mm home movies. I’ve been so excited for this thing, and I love it a lot. It’s really fun to experiment with new medium. p.s. Don’t hate on the Alabama song I chose. It’s not like I can include redneck music in stuff for clients, so on my personal stuff, hoo-boy, I’m going all out. Plus, it’s a Texas theme. So c’mon. Enjoy a fiddle and a banjo now and again. :)

Love the video! And for as weird as this sounds, it was crazy to see YOU on the video! :) And, I think next Christmas we might go to the Trinker’s, with a pool like that and good red wine……heck yes! Love your new camera, and I can’t wait to see what you create next! xo

Heyyy this is so cute! Loving the video! Especially when we can see you for the first time and your hair is blowing everywhere – it’s beautiful! Looks like you had a great time :)

This video was like watching home movies when I was a little girl (for those of you who do not know me–I’m old). Looks like you had a wonderful Christmas. Love, Mom

Yee ha!!!!! These really look like old 8 mm home movies we grew up with! So cool! What wonderful footage to remember a very special Christmas. We had a great time as well! Although we are going a bit crazy with Jack asking “where’s Jamie” over and over! I’m sorry you got Jeffrey’s cold. Feel better soon. Love, Debbie

Morgan,
Just stumbled across your site thanks to my sister (who is obsessed with researching cute wedding photography) when she found your post of the Leila and Vidur wedding. As a fellow photographer, I just wanted to leave you a message to tell you that you have definitely inspired me a lot after looking through some of your posts. I love the vintage look you give your pictures when you edit. Your compositions are beautiful. Just looking at them makes me want to get my camera out right now even though I should really be sleeping! I am about to graduate as a photography major and seeing your pictures really reminded me to have fun with my work and work my style more.
Thank you so much for the inspiration and keep on working, you are a wonderful photographer!
