The Conway Family

While Jamie and I were in Boulder last weekend, we also had the opportunity to meet Neil, Andrea, and Tristan Conway…. one of the most adorable families in the universe. Andrea is a friend of Megan’s, and she had seen Megan’s maternity pictures on Facebook, so when I flew there in July for the baby shower, she approached me about doing a family session for her next time I was in town. I was SO psyched! I gave her my very first business card. :) AND, she’s the first paying client I’ve had that hasn’t been a friend or family member. Yay! We seriously had so much fun with them, though. Tristan, who is almost a year and a half old, is so cute, and SO well-behaved! He was such a trooper to make it through the whole two hours of shooting without any major meltdowns. And his SMILE…. oh my goodness. What a happy child.

I got even MORE excited when Andrea told me she had been working on Tristan’s Halloween costume and that he was going to be Max from Where the Wild Things Are. Are you kidding me?! How ridiculously awesome is THAT? Check it out:

For the first part of our session, we went to a park near Louisville/Boulder, and it was the perfect morning to be there. Great morning light, lots of breezes, and look how gorgeous the flatirons look!

02

Yeah… so apparently Tristan doesn’t like being lifted in the air…. oops. :)

Excuse me, guys. I need you to stop being so darn adorable, or you’re going to make all my blog readers jealous.

I love, love, LOVE this shot. So happy and serene…

Who wouldn’t kill for those eyelashes?

Also, you should know that Tristan is an Olympic climber. He’s fiercely independent, and every time you turn around, he’s found something to climb on top of. This boy is an ATHLETE!

I love this series too… Tristan and Cooper (their puggle, how cute!) were so squirmy that they’re just blurry blobs. But it worked well, because we ended up with some good shots of just Neil and Andrea together.

Thank you so much for letting us into your home and lives to take these photographs. You guys are such an amazing (and amazingly good-looking) family, and we loved getting to hang out with you and get to know you better!

Also, don’t forget to CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE SLIDESHOW! Featuring Alexi Murdoch’s “All of My Days”…. lovely song.

The kid is wearing a “Where the Wild Things Are” costume. He totally wins.

Your photos win too. In fact, they don’t just win, they CONQUER. ♥
